Client Agreement & Consent
Welcome
My work is somatic coaching: a collaborative process of exploring your experience, including thoughts, emotions, imagery, relationships, choices, and what you notice in and through your body.
My role is not to tell you what you should think, feel, or do. I may offer questions, reflections, practices, experiments, or perspectives, and you are always free to decide what feels useful.
Somatic coaching is not psychotherapy, medical care, or crisis care, and it is not intended to replace support from specialized healthcare or mental-health professionals when that is needed.
Your Choice & Agency
You are in charge of what we explore.
At any point, you can:
decline a question or practice
ask to slow down, pause, or change direction
tell me something isn't working for you
choose not to discuss something
end a practice or session
There is no requirement to push through discomfort in order for our work to be useful.
Confidentiality
What you share with me is treated as private.
There may be limited situations where I am legally required to disclose information, for example where disclosure is required by law or court order, or where applicable legal duties involving safety or child protection arise.
Electronic communication and online services also carry some inherent privacy risk, even when reasonable precautions are taken.
Professional Consultation
From time to time, I may discuss aspects of my work with a mentor, teacher, supervisor, or professional peer in order to learn, receive support, and provide you with the best experience I reasonably can.
When I do this, I will remove your name and identifying details wherever reasonably possible. I will not intentionally identify you to another professional without permission.
AI & Our Work
I do not use AI to facilitate your coaching session, determine what guidance you should receive, interpret you, diagnose you, or replace my own presence and judgment in our work.
Session Transcripts & Records
Sessions are transcribed as part of my standard coaching practice.
Transcripts help me maintain accurate records, reflect on our work, and support continuity between sessions.
Both transcripts and session notes are kept private, and treated as confidential professional records. They are not shared publicly.
Communication
Email, messaging, and other electronic communication cannot be guaranteed to be completely private or secure.
